It is an honor for me to work with families as they plan to welcome a baby.
I teach group and private preparation classes and I offer labor support as a doula.

This 3-hour workshop is my wholehearted offering to birthing couples. I created this as an augment to any other birth preparation class and as a fantastic refresher for couples with prior birth experience (vaginal or cesarean).

For expectant moms with her partner/support person, whether considering an un-medicated birth or medical pain relief. Come learn breaths for releasing tension and staying relaxed, visualization, guided relaxation, partner assisted stretches, massage techniques, counter pressure, prenatal bonding & affirmations. Please wear comfortable clothes for stretching and bring a few pillows.

Held at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Class is open to all.

This class series teaches relaxation, breathing, and visualization techniques for a calmer and gentler birth. The techniques and information learned in class help reduce fear and anxiety allowing the ability to tap into birthing instincts.

HypnoBirthing is a comprehensive program based on the premise that childbirth is a normal biological process, not a medical event. Studies have shown relaxation techniques, such as self-hypnosis, are associated with decreased use of medical pain relief, lower cesarean rates, decreased length of labor and increased confidence and emotional satisfaction.

Hypnobirthing techniques are helpful during births that require medical assistance due to special circumstances. Those who use what they have learned and practiced reported feeling more under control and met their challenges with a high level of confidence.

Held at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Class is open to all.

The role of a doula is one of a trusted resource. We will work together to develop strategies to support your birth preferences.  All births deserve a doula - unmedicated, medicated, home, cesarean - having continuous, hands-on, physical and emotional support is beneficial in promoting a positive experience.

Plan on the following:

- initial meeting

- home visit to discuss birth preferences & strategies

- text and phone support

- continuous in-home support once in active labor

- continuous in-hospital support through labor and birth

- home visit within two weeks after birth

Email to ask for a copy of my contract that details services and fee structure.

Some families prefer a private, individualized class. I develop a plan of what to cover based upon birth history, desired birth experience and any other areas of special concern.

Class can be held in your home or at one of the locations where I teach.
